Saba Saba speaking at the University Of California, Los Angeles

Saba Saba was invited to UCLA Career Center to speak and share his experience as a professional entertainer in this industry that keeps rising every other day. On a Talent Penal with music and film professionals.

Talent Panelists
Saba Saba [Musician, Actor, Radio Personality]
Mark Naji [Actor, Director, Producer]
Justin Lerner [Director]
Ben Shiffrin [Writer]
John Whittington [Writer]

Excutive Panel

Jim Gilio [Entertainment Lawyer, Myman Greenspan,
Fineman Fox Rosenberg & Light, LLP]
Marion Kammer [Agent, TalentWorks]
Geordana Wagner-Porter [Marketing Coordinator, Fox]

Saba Saba spoke about his struggles in the industry and that his best lesson was to "always learn, never grow complacent and always challenge your self. This is a tough industry and combined with this tough economy you are always competing for any position, title and job. Just because you have experience or an education in a field doesnt mean you are entitled to anything, learn more to get more - think different to be different. If you want to be in the music business make sure you know about film and television and vice versa, because the more versatile and you will become more valuable to your industry. Lastly and probably most importantly never stop learning because you think you have 'made it' or reached your summit, in life there are never summits only new beginnings."

For the past decade, foreign dancehall has dominated, and most Ugandan artists have been making dancehall. ... Read more @ The FADER!
